Designated Stroke Centers
Each of our Southern California hospitals is a designated stroke center, meaning they meet national stroke-care standards set by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) and are accredited by The Joint Commission -- an independent, accrediting organization recognized for its quality standards in health care. A designated stroke center follows the recommended guidelines and has established ways to measure improvements in stroke care and patient outcomes.
Our experts are specially trained to diagnose and manage concussions. Whether or not the concussion is sports-related, our specialists use precise clinical tests to design a comprehensive and personal treatment plan for each patient.
Our doctors are able to determine the severity of brain trauma for those who suffer from concussions, giving them the ability to make decisions about their health and well-being with reliable certainty. With proper treatment, most children, teens and adults recover from concussions completely and can return to sports or other daily activities following an appropriate period of recovery.
